Digital twin can be conceptualized as a doppelganger of physical system into virtual environment. The idealization and development of virtual twin has been made possible due to advancements in computational technology and rapid growth of artificial intelligence and machine learning. To leverage this technology into advancements of electric vehicles will revolutionize the development, quality, and safety of products. Coinciding with autonomous vehicles, this technology will also introduce agility and adaptability of vehicles to different conditions. In the last decade, electric vehicles have surpassed IC engines in terms of acceleration, power regeneration, efficiency and safety. However, due to constant advancements in electrification products, there is a need to evaluate and analyze the systems on continuous basis. With the help of digital twin, the physical system will provide constant evaluation metric throughout product development as well as keep updating the accuracy and control even after the product is in market.
