No One Has “No Experience”

One of the primary claims college students make coming out of college is “I have no experience to share on my resume.” Many feel that their full time job that paid for college kept them from clubs and gaining technical experience. Others feel that their projects weren’t challenging enough to show their technical savviness. Worse yet, many see their hobbies and work at home as just for fun and not experience towards a job. What they don’t realize is that no one has “no experience” it is just learning how to promote the skills and experiences you’ve had in a way that is attractive to companies. This session will workshop different type of skills and backgrounds and translate them into experience for your resume, and help reshape the way we talk about experience.
