Inspirational Insight: Women Leading the Nation’s Transportation System

This panel will include the story of 4 pioneer women leading the Nation’s transportation system from the US Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Transit Administration and the Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works. The speakers come from diverse backgrounds including engineering, environmental, policy, advocacy and planning industries. They have led multidisciplinary projects at local, state and national levels for all modes of transportation. The purpose of this panel is to learn from their journeys and how they became executive leaders in their agencies, managing billions of dollars in capital improvement projects, operations and implementing federal programs such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act funding. They currently lead thousands of state and federal employees in their prospective agencies from around the nation and Puerto Rico. These unique groups of women have broken all boundaries and will be sources of empowerment and motivation.
