Kaitlin Perkins received a B.S. in Biological Engineering and minor in Spanish from North Carolina State University. Upon graduating, she worked at Pfizer as a Rotational Development Program Associate. During her 2-year rotation she worked in technical operations, equipment validation, and process engineering. Kaitlin's recent role was Downstream Supervisor in Pfizer’s Gene Therapy division. Kaitlin is passionate about sharing knowledge and giving back to underrepresented groups within STEM. She is involved with various Pfizer colleague resource groups and has led the planning of social and educational events for the site. Additionally, as the Professional Development Chair (2021-2022) of the National Society of Black Engineers in Research Triangle Park, she coordinated events for members to improve their skills for advancement within their careers. She has over 10 years of experience mentoring students (K-12 and college) and loves any opportunity to inspire the next generation of leaders in engineering.
