Nicole Allen is a 4th year Biomedical Engineering student at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. She is one of the leaders of Students Organizing for Sustainability, a 300+ person students sustainability group which manages two community gardens, among other projects. She has implemented multiple additional gardens across the campus that provide locally grown food to students, and organized for corporate speakers leading sustainability initiatives to visit campus, all while serving as the Co-Principle Investigator on a research project through the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems. She offers a fresh perspective on sustainability in research and small-scale sustainability projects.
