Concha Reid is the Acting Chief of the Space Science Project Office at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, Ms. Reid manages the space science project portfolio at GRC and ensures the achievement of space science project objectives. Prior to this position, Ms. Reid was the Deputy Program Manager for the Radioisotope Power Systems Program, which provides radioisotope power and heating systems for NASA missions and advances the technology for achievement of greater science objectives, enabling missions to explore dark, cold lunar and planetary locations and for longer durations into deep space. Ms. Reid’s experience also includes working with the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop Orion’s European Service Module (ESM). The Artemis I mission, which launched in November 2021, marked the first time that NASA flew a European-built module, the Orion ESM, as a mission-critical element of a human spaceflight vehicle.
