Maya Swan has been an operations engineer at the Phillips 66 Renewable Energy Complex in Rodeo, California for 4 years. She started working at the site 3 weeks after it was announced that the 124 year old oil refinery would be converted to a renewable energy facility. Throughout the transition to a renewable energy facility, Maya has lead numerous decommissioning activities, working to drive shutdowns, chemical cleaning operations, and assist with the startup of commissioning and startup of two renewable hydroprocessing units. Following the transition, Maya is now an operations engineer at one of the renewable diesel hydroprocessing units for one of the largest renewable fuels facilities in the world.
