Dr. Jennifer DiStefano is a Solar Innovation Technical Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy and has over ten years of experience in technology development and commercialization. At the DOE, Jennifer leads over $20 million of programming to support the U.S. clean tech innovation ecosystem and help companies at various stages bring their solutions to market. Previously, Jennifer was the Deputy Director of Research at the clean energy think tank the Energy Futures Initiative, where she conducted strategic planning, research, and analysis of clean energy market formation and scalable infrastructure deployment. Jennifer is an award-winning speaker, including receiving first place in the WE18 Rapid Fire Pitch Competition. Jennifer holds a PhD in materials science from Northwestern University and led Northwestern’s GradSWE group from 2016-2019.
