Katie Klee

Katie Klee is a senior process engineer in Technical Operations at Merck. In her role, she leads a small team that provides process engineering support for polysaccharide vaccine manufacturing. She is passionate about people development and leadership and thoroughly enjoys helping her team achieve their goals.

Prior to this role, Katie held various roles within Merck's large molecule commercialization organization. She started her career in the small-scale high-throughput labs, with a focus on second generation process development and technical skill-building. She then shifted her focus to work on external process transfers, building skills such as negotiation, teamwork, communicating to management, and leading a cross-functional team.

Katie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering from Lehigh University, and she will be completing her Master's Degree program in Engineering Management at Johns Hopkins in May of 2025. Katie enjoys traveling, baking, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with her husband and 1.5-year-old son.
