Milena Quevedo is an Ecuadorian student pursuing a dual major, currently a senior in Industrial Engineering and a junior in Food Engineering. She is studying abroad at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for the semester, while her home institution is Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Her passion for ergonomics and musculoskeletal analysis drives her focus on improving human well-being in industrial environments through innovative engineering solutions. A strong advocate for gender diversity in STEM, Milena was awarded with the WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) Scholarship in 2021. Her interdisciplinary expertise blends technical knowledge with practical applications, positioning her as a leading voice on the impact of exoskeletons in both industrial and food engineering fields. In addition to her academic pursuits, Milena serves as a Student Orientation Leader, inspiring and motivating new students, while fostering a sense of community and inclusion at her university.
