Cassandra Flores, EIT, is a Process Engineer with a focus on water and wastewater treatment based in Tucson, Arizona. Cassandra’s interest in sustainability and the environment is what led her to her studies in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. As the first to attend a higher education institution, and the only Engineer in her family, Cassandra has first-hand experience with being a First Generation Professional (FGP). Cassandra grew up with parents who believed a strong work ethic and higher education was the key to a successful life. With this mindset, she has worked through two engineering degrees, learned a third language, and landed a job she actually enjoys. With 3 years of experience working for Stantec, Cassandra hopes to share some tips on being an FGP.
