Shoreview, Minnesota, United States
Myranda New is an Electrophysiology R&D Usability Engineer at Boston Scientific. She graduated from The University of Tulsa in May 2023 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, where she was SWE President, Co-Founder and Vice President of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and Director of Scholarship for her sorority. She was also the Variety Editor of the campus newspaper and even gave a TEDx talk on the human faults that cause engineering disasters. This directed her towards a career advocating for the user, ensuring the user experience with engineering is as safe and enjoyable as possible. Outside of work, she is a SWE Collegiate Leadership Coach, a Site Liaison for SWE-BSC, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She is incredibly passionate about giving back through her ideas and hands-on work, advising how to navigate extracurriculars and maintain community when everything is no longer condensed to a college campus.
