Leann Vaive graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering in 2018. She started at Whirlpool Corporation in the Whirlpool Engineering Rotational Leadership Development (WERLD) program and realized that she was passionate about coding and data analytics. In each of her roles, she found opportunities to improve her coding capabilities, deepen her Six Sigma skill set, and expand her skills in the electronics space. In 2021, Leann completed a Master’s in Electrical Engineering with a Controls Focus. She currently works on the Model-Based Design team at Whirlpool Corporation as a Senior Engineer leading advanced controls initiatives, primarily for refrigeration and laundry applications. In 2023, following a two year training program, she earned her Operational Excellence (Six Sigma) Master Black Belt and is passionate about teaching and mentoring others.
