Yoke Peng Leong, Ph.D., is an application engineering senior team lead at MathWorks. She provides technical guidance and strategic direction to help companies deploy efficient engineering workflows using MATLAB and Simulink platforms. She has supported engineers/managers to improve their engineering development and deployment processes involving cross-functional teams for various applications including aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, robotics, and others. She also manages a team of application engineers.

Prior to MathWorks, Yoke Peng earned a B.S./ M.S. in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University, and a Ph.D. in control and dynamical systems from California Institute of Technology, where she developed optimal control synthesis techniques for nonlinear systems such as robots using methods in machine learning, controls, optimization, and formal methods.
