Jess Buck is a Senior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer at Toyota Motor North America. Her Toyota career began as a sophomore at Michigan Tech, where she supported the seat design team as an intern. After earning her BSME in 2015, she joined Toyota as a crash safety engineer, where she developed new test methods and prepared Toyota for anticipated US testing changes. In 2019, she transitioned to Material Design, There she developed new exterior colors, and developed her project management skills. In 2020, she joined the Vehicle Dynamics team, leading truck ride comfort and handling performance development. She's licensed to drive prototypes at their limit, both on and off-road, and enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for off-roading with others. Jess was recognized as an Emerging Leader by the Manufacturing Institute in 2023, The Future of Automotive by Inforum in 2024, and developed an educational series for employees and customers.
