Jessica Riedl earned her BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Agricultural Engineering
from Iowa State University (ISU). She has held roles in product design and manufacturing
engineering for John Deere and currently leads cost reduction-focused product design projects
for the Construction & Forestry Division. Previously, she supported a cooperative agreement
between ISU and the US Department of Agriculture to develop the BioPreferredĀ® Program.
Jessica attended her first SWE event as a high school senior. After attending the SWE National
Conference in 2004 as a college senior, Jessica served first in the Heart of Iowa section and
then in the Dubuque Area section as section president, VP, treasurer, secretary, section
representative, and more. She is currently serving her third consecutive term as Dubuque Area
SWE section president and scholarship chair.
Dubuque Area SWE completed the endowment of its section-selected scholarship in FY23 and
made its first $1000 award in FY24.
