Jen Thomas is currently the Engineering Chief of Staff at P&W
Engineering military engine life management team for Pratt & Whitney. Her team is responsible
for repair development, repair tooling, and managing the inspection and documentation of part
distress for unserviceable hardware at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. Passionate
about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Jen also serves as the WISE (Women Inspiring Success
& Empowerment) women’s employee resource group Chair for Pratt & Whitney.
Jen joined Pratt & Whitney in 2006. Prior to her current role, she served as Deputy Component
Integrated Product Team Leader for the F135 High Pressure Compressor based in West Palm
Beach, FL. Jen’s previous roles include F119 Ground Test Engineer, Ground Test Engineering
Supervisor, and Flight Test Engineering positions supporting PW1500G Compliance and
PW1100G-JM Flight Test Integration onsite with Bombardier and Airbus customers.
Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central
Florida and a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University. She has been
recognized as a 2021 Science Spectrum Trailblazer by the Black Engineer of the Year Awards
committee and a 2021 Society of Women Engineers WE Local ELiTE award recipient.
In her free time, Jen enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and volunteering
with organizations like Junior League of Oklahoma City and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
