Amanda Weissman is a Principal Systems Engineer and Associate Fellow at Lockheed Martin, where she leads complex defense programs for U.S. and international military clients. With more than a decade of experience, she excels in managing and leading multinational teams. Amanda holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and an Master’s of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). She also as a Master’s of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Amanda is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CISSP, and Certified SAFe 6 Architect. In addition to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Amanda is an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Senior Member and a member of International Council on Systems Engineering. She serves on multiple alumni advisory boards for RIT.
Amanda is a dedicated leader within SWE, having held numerous roles over the years. Currently, she serves as both a Senator and a Global Ambassador, working to expand SWE's global presence. Her professional achievements have been recognized through awards such as SWE’s Emerging Leader, WE Local ELiTe, and Distinguished New Engineer Awards, as well as the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Kate Gleason College of Engineering Emerging Leader Award. She is also a two-time recipient of Lockheed Martin’s Evening of Excellence Award for Diversity and Inclusion.
Amanda has lived in various locations, including Moorestown, NJ, College Park, MD, and now resides in Adelaide, South Australia, with her partner and two children.
