Jack of All, Master of One – A Robotics Career

After years of work experience and classes, it is easy to become comfortable in your chosen field. Engineers feel pressured to have the depth in one area because of their early experiences with that domain. The purpose of this talk is to encourage engineers to embrace breadth as another way to have a fulfilling career. Interdisciplinary fields such as robotics allow individuals with breadth to flourish with constant learning experiences in not just one field. The two speakers will go through two very different career paths that led them to the medical device and robotics industry. This talk will also provide tips to apply your existing background to robotics and advance your career while navigating real-world problems like the pandemic and the uncertainty of immigration laws.
